Here's Huub at our favourite place, Little Nest, off of Commercial Drive, in Vancouver's original "Little Italy". The Drive was originally a skid road for dragging logs to the harbour, now has a hip, indie vibe.
Here's Huub relaxing in the sunshine at Tap and Barrel sampling a few craft beer at a new waterfront patio in the Olympic Village on False Creek. We had a nice visit with Stuart who was visiting from Ottawa. Southeast False Creek, once an industrial heartland of Vancouver though to the 1950s, home to many sawmills and small port operations, has now been transformed into a leading model of sustainable development and designed as a mixed-use community with a population of 10,000+.
